Our campaign has launched - will you please support us?

The company that brought you the Midwest Premiere musical adaptation of Coraline in 2014 is opening another dark fantasy musical in October 2015, Goblin Market. Adapted from the sensual and disturbing Victorian era poem of the same name by Christina Rossetti, this musical adaptation by Peggy Harmon and Polly Pen hasn't been seen in the Chicagoland area for over 15 years.

The musical spins the tale of two adult sisters, Lizzie and Laura, who return to their childhood home and relive the dark fantasies of their adolescence, in which goblin men capered and tempted them to sample forbidden fruits. When Laura succumbs to goblin blandishments, it is up to Lizzie to take a stand and save her sister's life. Blending haunting songs and story theater, the show spins a captivating spell - and to bring it to life we need your help!

We will be hiring professional musicians to be our Goblin Band, and also need help funding our design, which will include clawed hands, monstrous masks, enchanted fruit and creepy dolls.

Please support our production and artists, which will include Jennifer T. Grubb (as Lizzie), Stephanie Stockstill (as Laura), director Ed Rutherford and music director Jeff Bouthiette! We also are bringing back several members of our fantastic design team for Coraline, including costume designer Beth Laske-Miller, props designer Rocky Kolecke, and lighting designer Chazz Malott. Don't miss out on being a part of this project!
